EAD Expiring May 9. Can I speed up getting H1B or extend EAD?

Hi All. I graduated from UC-Irvine, and I have been working on EAD as a Temp worker at a company.

My EAD expires on May 9, 2007.

The company I work in have shown interest in hiring me as a full-time employee.

1) I need to know how should I tell my manager concerning the H-1 visa. Will I get an H-1 visa in time before my EAD expires?

2) If not, is it possible to extend my EAD? If yes, how can I do that, when are the deadlines and for how many more months is added in an extension?

3) If I can't extend my EAD, what other options do I have?

Thank you in advance for anyone who can help me in this issue. Greatly appreciate it.

1) No. The next quota allocation will be available October 1. No new H1Bs will be issued until then.

2) If you are on F1/OPT, no, its 1 year and no extensions possible.

3) Return to your home country and wait for your H1B to arrive.

In general, if your company has little experience with H1Bs you can forget about it. Its expensive, takes time, and if you are only a temp there they won't bother going through all the effort for your.
