Hi gurus,

Please help me as my EAD is getting expried on 18th July. On 25th June, I received following mail for I-485 approval:

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On June 23, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Now I am still waiting for welcome notice. I wanted to know my options if EAD expires. Can I continue to work if My EAD expires but do not get Physical Green card based on approval notice ?

Thanks for all your help

I think the welcome notice (which I have never seen a version of) might answer this question. It may tell you that you are considered a lawful permanent resident and can work, unless you need to go get a stamp (which not everybody does). Either way, the fact that you got this before your EAD expired means you will not be in any legal trouble if you continue to work. Just read the welcome notice carefully to be sure.
