EAD expired, applied for EAD renewal, can I continue job

Hi Guys,

I applied for EAD renewal on Dec 6, and my first EAD was expired on Jan 3. Quesion is shall I continue work for the same employer while waiting for renewal. When I talked to my attoney monhts ago, he said I can work. Now he is contraditing his earlier statement.

I called IIO 3 TIMES, one says as long renewal is filed, I can continue. Second one says I've to wait to EAD card. Third one is dumb.

BTW, I haven't got receipt notice yet. Do you guys think it is good idea to call to enquire about it. I aplied for renewal by my self.

Hi, I also applied for EAD renewal, on last week on Nov.

No recipt, after waiting till Jan02, I called Nebraska they told me that they received application (RD 03 Dec), but they don't know why recipt is not mailed. I requested IIO a letter mentioning that they received application letter with recipt number.

I received the letter, now I can go to local office if my EAD is not approved before my expiry date.
