I am renewing my EAD (2nd EAD)...Wac-03-090-XXXX...Applied late Jan '03...Approved 27th May '03...Still havent received my EAD card or approval notice...

I happened to go on 28th to San Jose Office to pick my iEAD & was told that its already approved & that it would be mailed to me...To get a EAD card from San Jose, I would have to pay $120...So I thought - what the heck, I will probably receive it in 5-10 days...so I decided not to pay & to wait for it...

But my card or approval notice hasnt arrived yet - but website & INS indicate approval...

So I call NSCS 1800 number- they tell me there is nothing they can do - I got to wait patiently for card & approval notice to arrive...They say the processing time set on the 765 is 999 days & so until that period passes there is nothing they or I can do!!!

PS - Important lesson - if you think your EAD is vital for your job, looks like its an extremely good idea to pick up an iEAD before your EAD is approved, since atleast you get iEAD in hand directly without paying extra for it and dont have to wait for approval mess from INS. If only I had gone 2 days earlier...Never thot I wud wish INs didnt approve my applications :)

Short of going back to San Jose INS office & pcking my EAD at $120, I dont know what other options I have.

Any advice??? Iam searching for a new job based on my EAD - without that Iam screwed...

My renewal EAD was approved on May 15th and I got the card by mail on May 28th. I think you would get yours in the next couple of days. It may take around 10 - 15 days to get the card after approval.

BCIS has been approving EADs at a very good pace and there is a good possibility that cards are delayed by a few days. I am sure you will get it in a couple of days. My 2nd EAD was approved on the 13th May and I got the card on 24th May. So hang in there and hopefully you should receive it soon.

Mine got approved at May 20th..

Mine got approved on May 20th... My lawyer got it on 9th June

btw, i was chking bcis site today - msg has chgd - "This case has been approved. On June 10, 2003, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business hours."

Does this mean the card is on its way or only the approval notice is being sent out? those of you who rcvd ur card - what does ur status say on web?
 
This is exactly what I also saw when I checked the status just after receiving my card. I strongly feel that your card is on its way to your address.
