EAD Experience in New York City or Garden City

Hello All,

Can anyone who recived their EAD in new york city or garden city tell about the process. Do you have to go to federal plaza or garden city office to get it. They took a picture of me during my fingerprinting 2 weeks ago, will they use that picture? I just want to know what process to expect to get the EAD. Do i even have to go to the DO to get it, or will they just mail it to me. PLEASE HELP. I am nervous..

hi. My ND for EAD is 1/9/2006. I read a case that has the ND of
1/9/2006 and it has been approved. My case is I 140 based in VSC, do you know if we can expect our decision soon. thanks.bye

Your in the wrong forum since I-140 is employment based immigration, right ?
Anyway, since I don't know if these cases have a different timeline than family based immigrations I highly recommend to ask your question in the proper forum.

But you might want to check other VSC cases here. I, for one, live in Maine, which makes Vermont the Service Center with jurisdiction over my case.
My biometrics were taken in Portland, ME so my timeline might give you an idea. But remember, this is family based.

Im not sure if you want information regarding the general EAD or the iEAD.
EAD filed along with family based I-485 is processed at the NBC. YOu will get it in mail once it is approved and you dont have to go to the DO

If 90 days have passed since you applied for it and have not received it, you can go to your DO and get your Interim EAD.
 
Because I've heard, but not sure if it's correct, that NYC & Garden City asks you to come in for an interview for the EAD? Is this correct?

You heard it wrong there buddy. There is no interview for EAD. The only time you have to go to your DO is for your iEAD like i mentioned earlier.
