Hi All:

We have applied for EAD and i have received approval email and card for myself but spouse EAD is still pending.

spouse Driver License & EAD will expire on this Thursday(08/09/07) can she use EAD notice to renew Driver License.

please share your experience...
 
No. You will need the actual card

You will need the actual card (EAD) as it has the expiration date, photo etc. in order to renew DL. You can take the approval notice and reason with them that it was approved before the DL expired.
 
EAD is not approved yet... i was wondering if they could consider Application notice as a document of proof that she has applied for EAD renewal and waiting for approval from USCIS.
i have applied on june 5th and i got approval on july 24th but spouse got RFE on 25th which we already replied.
 
Take pending 485 transfer Notice Original . Explain them they will issue the Drivers L. Depend on DMV officer. One up my friend did it . He just take original transfer 485 notice and got one year renew DL.
 
What was the RFE, Because we also got RFE but not yet received, Can you tell me what was the RFE, Regarding driving license, normoly they made license for extra tree month beond EAD expiry date So your license should work for next three month and meanwhile you will get your EAD also

Oh God...oh god.. Is the DL linked to EAD and GC.. Now every year more renewal lines to wait for.... At least for this purpose, the ycould give a 10 year (or 50 year EAD and uscis make more money ) so that we need NOT renew it every year. Its becomming a pain to live in this country....

2) GCWHEN1: we are in florida and here DMV issues DL with saem expiry date as of EAD. i dont know how it is in other state.

we have sent reply for RFE and USCIS have acknowledged that yesterday 7:45 PM that they have received our response on 4th August and blaa..blaah
