"On April 21, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready" --- I WONDER HOW SOON?
"There is light at the end of the tunnel", "Do your best and God will do the rest" & "Patience is a virtue" - these are some of the words of encouragement we hear or tell ourselves to make the wait for the EAD & GC less agonizing, and I've proven that it is true. This is my timeline:
Expired H1 married to USC 8/6/2005
DO: Chicago
Mailed Documents: 1/30/2006
Received Date: 1/31/06 (sent via USPS Express mail)
Notice Date: Feb 3/06
FP & Biometrics: March 1/06
RFE I-485: March 3/06
RFE missing info sent: March 18/06
RFE received date (email): March 22/06
EAD approved (on-line): April 21/06

I have a a couple of questions for our immigration gurus : Thanks in advance guys!
1. I used my maiden name in all the documents , when can I use my married name? (waiting for the GC vs getting new DL & SS card using married name when I reveive the EAD, which I hope to receive next week)
2. Should I renew my passport now or when I get my GC? If I renew it now, should I use my married name or keep my maiden name? I'm really confused because they all seem connected,WHAT SHOULD I DO FIRST?
