EAD change Category

I am currently holding an EAD under Category "A18", meaning L-2 status based.
I am also filing a Employment based immigration application (I am the primary applicant), my spouse's AP/EAD both got approved already.

My question is:
Am I still able to work with curreny EAD when my spouse's L-1 expires? (I assume re-enter US or change employer will cause her L-1 to expire)
Should I submit EAD renew or new application when I have to change my EAD category?

Your L2 status is dependent on her L1 status.
Your EAD is dependent on your L2 status.

So if your wife loses her L1 status, your current EAD is no longer valid.
Much like if you've filed for 485 and gotten a EAD and then 485 is denied, your EAD is no longer valid.
 
So, I should submit a new EAD based on pending i-485 then. Is it renew EAD or must start a new application? I think renew is faster.
