I am on H1 visa. My company is filling for my Green Card. My wife is on H4 visa with Work Permit which she already uses. So her H4 visa is canceled? My kids are also on H4 with Work Permit but they have not used it. I am in process of applying for Renewal of EAD for all of us.

Can some one help me with the different categories to fill for each individual in my family. (I-765 form Question number 16)

H4 is not allowed to work. I-485 AOS based EAD should be c9.
 
if my kids dont use the EAD (they cant) what category would i renew their EAD. I want renew the EAD even if they dont use it.

By "work permit" do you mean EAD?

Anyway, once your wife works in the US (using EAD or anything else or nothing) her H4 status is gone.

Jack ...I think you can manage H4 for travelling purposes while working on EAD. My wife is doing the same.
 
I would start a new Thread but it is giving an "Fatal Error" or something like that.

HI i filling out forms to renew my family's EAD. I am having trouble figuring out what my family's Current Immigration Status is to put in the EAD renewal forum.

I entered here on H1 visa, got my I-140 passed, fingerprint is done, applied for I-485, and got my EAD and not using it. Its up for renewal now:
Current Immigration Status: ?
#16 category : ()(C)(9)?

My Wife entered here on H4 visa, got her I-140 passed, fingerprint is done, applied for I-485, and got her EAD and using it right now. Its up for renewal now:
Current Immigration Status: ?
#16 category : ()(C)(9)?

My kids entered here on H4 Visa, got there I-140 passed, fingerprint is done, applied for I-485, and got there EAD and have not used it. Its up for renewal now:
