EAD Card

Greetings,

Before I begin, let me thank all of the moderators and everyone involved in making this website such a sucessful resource. The information available here saves all of us thousands of dollars in lawyers fees.
I just go my EAD card (valid for a year). My I485 was filed on July 2003, in TSC. MY FP was done last month.
My question is: What's next for me in terms of the GC process, and what does my EAD card allow me to do that my H1B does not?

EAD is not a stepping stone in the GC process. So EAD approval does not mean anything about the GC approval.
EAD allows you to hold more than 1 job, start your company - like a GC holder. Only cautionary note here is that since GC has not been approved, you still need to maintain the job or relation which made you eligible to apply for 485.
