EAD can be renewed without I-140 approval Letter ?

Well ! I got my 1st EAD through Company A who has filed my 1st EAD, I-140 and I-1485. I have got my I-140 approved, got 1st EAD and I-1485 is pending.

Got laid off from Company A

Currently I am working with Company B and it is time to renew my 1st EAD. My new lawyer is asking I-140 approval letter from the previous company. However it is not possible to get I-140 approval letter from the previous company.

So my lawyer said take INS online approval status report and having filed EAD renewal application with I-140 application receipt, I-140 online status report and I-485 application receipts.

Do anyone has renewed EAD without I-140 Approval letter ?

------Your lawyer is correct
VSC normally don’t ask for I-140 approval notice, NSC is asking for I-140 approval and Color copy of your Driving license. EAD and First page of your Passport page for EAD renewal

From VSC many have renewed the EAD with out sending I-140 approval notice
