EAD before or after AOS?

I have not yet sent in the application for AOS and was assuming I could send in the application for EAD before the AOS. Is this allowed? I have recently been married to my then fiance ( came into the U.S from Canada on a k-1 visa) Please advise Thnx......

Send EAD along with AOS(485) or after receiving 485 receipts, not before AOS<EOM>
