EAD - AVM message

Received EAD card today

I heard the message "after approval on Aug 22....".
Today, Aug 27 I received the EAD card. Just checked the message on AVM. It's changed to "This case has been approved". The same message about my wife's application. Did not receive her card yet, but since it was mailed on Saturday, I guess it will come by the end of the week.
Just a curious fact – I spoke to IIO on Friday. Actually I wanted to check if they received the FP information yet. Well they did receive it and it was good. I don’t know if that has any impact on the date they mail the card, but given the fact that card was mailed from Corbin, KY – I don’t think so.

One question, will INS mail to my lawyer's address or my address? Last time my AP was sent to my lawyer and he told me that is a standard procedure after 911, but I really doubt it. [/B]

I received AP and EAD on my own address, may be you lawyer filled in all documents with his address.
 
Received cards in Mail yesterday. They are mailed from Kentucky so i guess they take more time depending upon your location.
 
EAD - approval!!

Heard the message - but the wait is on....

Checked the automated vm and got the message
"On August 24th, after approving your case, we have ordered a new card for you. It normally takes between 120-140 days for us to process. We will send the card to you as soon as it is available."

From what is posted here, I should hopefully find a changed vm shortly..
 
No approval yet..for EAD

as per the discussion, I should be getting my approval anytime now. Has'nt changed my VM either. Wondering if I need to go to INS and get my iEAD on 09/18 (next month).

How long for EAD?

Planning to file for I485 soon (Lawyer working on final papers), I was just wondering how long it would be before I received my EAD from the MD?

Wrong signature on EAD card

Hi All,
My EAD was also approved on August 27th and I have received the EAD card today, but my card has my wife's signature on it. (My wife's EAD is not yet approved).

What should I do now?

this is pretty wierd..!!!
uptil now i have been reading cases of INS mistakenly putting "F" in sex for "M" (and vice versa) on the EAD card...
your case is a new one to me...
what more to expect in future ??

I am not sure if this is relevant but anyways - i got my second EAD card with the wrong country of birth - i called INS - they said i could reapply but it would take - hold your breath- 6 to 9 months to get the new one. Your GC would probably get approved by then!!!
Arun - you should call INS and find out what you should do. I guess wrong country of birth is something you could live with - i am not sure about the Finger print though.

Thanks for your replies. I tried to talk to an IIO but couldn't get through. I will try again tomorrow.

I talked with the lawyer though and she said that I can send it in and I should get a new one in about a month's time.

EAD VM!!?

My vm has not changed from :

I was of the idea that it would change in couple of days as some of us have received the card in a couple of days of this message..

Try talking to IIO, send faxes. But, I think that you will probably need to reapply. INS makes such mistake quite frequently and irony is that they don't do much after the mistake is brought to their attention.

You may also go to local INS, may be, if they agree, they would issue you another card.

I think you should not worry. Our EAD was approved on August 22. I got my on Monday, 26th, but my wife's received her card on Friday. It's probably just a normal delay on the post.

The message says if 14 days have passed you should contact your local INS center. So even if you try to call earlier they will just tell you to wait.

I hope you'll get your card next week.

EAD card signature

Thanks for your reply. I went to local INS centre but they said they do not make any corrections, unless the card is issued by them.

I am still debating whether to send the card back to INS (here I will have no card and I can't get an Interim as well) or not do anything about it.

Any suggestions???
