EAD - AVM message

I just checked the AVM message for my EAD petition filed 4 months ago. I heard: "On Augest 22nd, after approving your case, we have ordered a new card for you. It normally takes between 120-140 days for us to process. We will send the card to you as soon as it is available."

What does that supposed to mean? I never heard that anyone needs to wait for another 4 month just to get the card after approval.

Gurus, please advise.
:(

It means that you should continue to wait till AVM message will be something like:

"This case have been approved on {date} and approval notice was mailed"

It may take two-three-four months. :(

After this message you will receive your card in one or two weeks

Does this happen for all EAD case? Some of my friends get the EAD card right after approval.

Did you hear this kind of message also? before changing to "your case has been approved and an approval notice has been mailed"?

In my case I don't remember exact dates but it was something like this.

EAD petition filed in December 2001

then

"On April 3, after approving your case, we have ordered a new card for you. It normally takes between 120-140 days for us to process. We will send the card to you as soon as it is available."

then for me

"This case have been approved on June 7 and approval notice was mailed"
I received EAD on June 10

for my wife

"This case have been approved on July 10 and approval notice was mailed"
My wife received EAD on July 14

Great!

Did you check with your lawyer if you are supposed to get any approval notice? May be they send the approval notice and then, after the card is ready they actually mail the card only.

Please if some one have any experiance coment on that. The real question is: Does some one have a valid EAD after the EAD application has been approved but before he/she receive the card?

I heard the same message like mfe today.

Actually after "On Augest 22nd, after approving your case, we have ordered a new card for you. It normally takes between 120-140 days for us to process. We will send the card to you as soon as it is available." you next message on AVN may be message about RFE for EAD regarding your signature or fingerprint, because they decided your signature is not clear for printing on your EAD card.

In my case, the message was changed the next day. On day 1, AVM mentioned "After approving your application, we have placed order for card ...." and the next day, the AVM message was changed to "This case has been approved ...".

Good luck :D :D :D

Same AVM with my case and my wife's case. After approving your application we have ordered the new cards and will take 120 days blah blah blah. I do't think there's a signature problem cause why will it happen for both of us.
Any with same message before who have received the cards?
Any with any idea can we go and get iEAD if required in this case.

AVM message for EAD

Hi,

My EAD application was approved on 18 July. I heard the same message on the AVM -" After approving your case on July 18th, we ordered a new card for you. It is taking between 120 and 140 days etc etc..." . Still haven't recieved the card. Had received RFE (two snaps)for EAD on May 26th.

However, we got our GC approved on July 31, so i guess I won't be getting the EAD card anymore.

Just to clear this up...

EAD mesg changes twice from receipt to approval. First that the card is ordered and next that it is mailed. We all have long observed that the number of days on the AVM is almost irrelavant. Who is waiting 999 days for I485 (please dont cuss me if you are, but I suspect there aren't many). Likewise there is no guarantee that you get you EAD even after 140 days. I know of cases where the time taken for the 2nd message change is 2-3 days...

good luck all...

received EAD today in mail

My message was changed last Thursday(22nd Aug) to" will order card and it will take 120-140 days blah blah blah... and I received the card today 26th Aug. I was surprised by INS efficiency. INS is great!!

Case 1 : approved and "card ordered" on 22nd August. Then it was changed to "an approval notive was sent on 24th Aug". Actual Cards received on Aug 27th. (Did you notice , 24th Aug was Satureday, people are doing over time at INS)

Case 2 : approved and "card ordered" on 16th August. Then it was changed to "an approval notive was sent on 26th Aug". Actual Cards received on 29th Aug.

EAD message changed to approved

Just heard over the AVM - "This case has been approved on 8/24, an approval notice has been mailed..." I will let you all know once I receive the actual card.

One question, will INS mail to my lawyer's address or my address? Last time my AP was sent to my lawyer and he told me that is a standard procedure after 911, but I really doubt it.
