Hey all,
I am a student and I applied for the OPT/EAD on the 10th of Feb. On the 28th of feb I got the a mail from the VSC which had a fee receipt ( not the usual receipt which i guess is I-797). That fee receipt has a hand written receipt number, that's it.
I was wondering if anyone else got the same thing.
I used that receipt number to check the status of my application online, and online it says that my application for I-765/Emplyment Authorization Document was received at the office on the 14th of Feb, and it is taking 60-90 days to process this kindof application.
I have got a job offer recently, and the company wants me to join no later than 1st May.
How much time is it taking for the VSC to process the OPT application. Any experiences?
