EAD at Local INS office in NJ

Guys,

My EAD expired on Dec 20th of last month and I put in an application for EAD renewal on Dec 7th.

RD : Dec 7th, 2002
ND : Dec 16th, 2002

Now, I might get an offer for permanent employment and they want me to have work authorization but I dont have EAD now...Is there anyway I could approach the local INS office for EAD renewal ? Is this possible ??

I am cursing myself for not applying for the renewal well in advance !!! :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

Any suggestions ???

You can't do anything about it until 90 days are passed after ND.

It is surprising that you have not got the approval yet as so many people with ND in January have already got approvals. :confused:
 
You may try the local INS office at New York. Newark office is very strict with the rule about 90 days restritions. And some guys have better luck at New York office. My Ead is going to expire on March 1st and no approval yet. I am going to try the same approach some days later. Please keep us posted.
