EAD approved

I consider myself lucky. My case is NIW (I-140 approved 1/23/2005) and I filed I-765 , I-485 and I-131 RD is 23/2/2005. Today I've got an e-mail that EAD is approved and a card is ordered ! Everything is in TSC.

Hope my husband will get the approval soon. Will keep posted about the I-131 results.

Congratulations on your good fortune! Was this the Vermont Service Center? Did you do anything special? I submitted an application for EAD renewal and my RD is 02/15/2005. However I am desperate to get my renewal approved urgently as the old one runs out soon. Please advise on what I can do. Could I apply for an emergency EAD at the local USCIS office even if the stipulated 90 days have not expired? Someone told me that the law actually requires the govt to approve or deny a request for work authorization within 7 days. Is this true?? Please someone help....
