Friends!

I just received an email from USCIS. I can say it is one of the happiest emails I've ever received :p

"Current Status:

On August 6, 2004, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision or advice from USCIS within the projected processing time frame*, please contact the National Customer Service Center.

National Customer Service Center (800) 375-5283."

I want to thank each and every one of you, for sharing information and your experiences with me, and shedding some light on how things work at the USCIS. I love y'all!:)

Here are some answers to questions you might ask:

- My card will only be valid for one year, since graduates from colleges are only allowed one year of optional practical training.
- My RFE was about showing copies of old I-20s.
- Philadelphia office does not issue iEADs until 90 days after the RFE date.

Thank you!!!

This is my first EAD, hence don't have a current one. I will let you know of the expiration date of the EAD that I will receive.

My EAD is approved and the message is different

Application Type: I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status:

This case has been approved. On August 6, 2004, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

It does not mention about the card that is going to be mailed, can you please tell me did your message is changed twice once like mine and then when they order.

Thanks in advance

I did not get a message like yours. Which service center are you? It might be different if yours is not VSC. I am guessing they will talk about the card once it is mailed, and it takes about 2-3 business days for the mailing.

My experience (NSC) was a bit weird ....

my first message was the card ordered message.
The on the very next day, I had one more LUD and this time the message became like yours (approved....14 days blah blah).

So, for me, it went in reverse !!!!

We can wait and see if kayzeeturk's message also changes on Saturday or Monday !?

Got My Iead

kayzeeturk, Happy to hear about your EAD approval. CONGRATULATIONS. I've also got my IEAD from the local INS office. Its valid for 6 months till feb 2005. The renewal application for EAD is still pending at VSC. When I asked the immigration officer what will be expiry date on the actual EAD card from VSC upon approval, they said VSC will know that the local office has issued a IEAD and the renewal EAD will be valid for the rest 6 months. Is that the case?
I also wanted to THANK each one of you who gave your valuable suggestions and tips.

Thanks again.

Thank you shanky1972. It is my 22nd bday today, and the EAD approval yesterday was the perfect present. :)

Maybe i can wait for 14 days and see the card or in the mean time if message changes well and good. Thank god the approval.
Thanks

Hello guys,

My LUD changed to today after the approval, but the msg is still the same, am I going to get a different msg, or is tthe discussed msg above unique to NSC??

I got the "after approving your application, we mailed you...."

Now all I have left is to wait 2-3 days for the card to arrive. ::relieved::

Can you please let me know how long your EAD valid. I am just wondering whether they are giving for two years or more ( as per new law ).
