Got my EAD card today. My first EAD. Texas Service Center

ND: mid August this year.
EAD approved at the end of August. It took fewer than 20 days.

But only 1 year validity.

Anybody knows why it's not a 2-year EAD card? Seems the new rule to extend EAD validity doesn't come true...

Whats ur ND?

It depends, some may get 2 yrs and some 1 yr. God only knows about the CIS process

I think the wording was something like longer periods "may be" given depending on how long the case would take to process.

Lets all hope that 1yr EAD means that our 485s would be done in a year !!!
( Fat chance - but why not hope atleast ;) )

Plus I read somewhere that the longer EADs are typically for other 485 cases like asylum etc ( not EB cases)

Could you please give me your RD/ND at TCS. As mine was sent on 08/24/2004 and attorney office did not received receipt yet as what they told me. WHO KNOWS?
Any idea how long I should wait and push them about receipts? How long it took in your case to get receipts and how did u find ur approval?

My ND is Mid-August, a little earlier than yours. No EAD receipt. EAD arrrived directly at my home address at the end of August. It took TSC only 2 weeks to process and approve my EAD.
