EAD Approved? (Marriage-Based)

Alright! Finally I received my EAD appointment with a scheduled venue, date, and time (Los Angeles District Office, Aug 15) and receipt after more than 3 months of application! This is a marriage-based application. I would assume that my EAD is being approved, correct me if I am wrong.

I have a couple of questions:
1. Is this appointment for finger print?
2. Will I get the EAD card right away? In other words, can I work right away?

Is there anything I have to be aware of for the appointment? Any suggestions, comments, advice are most welcome!

EAD Appt

Personally I've never heard of EAD Appt , you sure you are reading the notice correct , I apply for EAD on 6/03 and receipt my EAD card by mail on 07/04 took approx 1 mth sometimes 3 mths , Notice is probably for Finger printing , which I got after I rec my EAD Card , Please re-check once again.

This is the receipt issued by USDHS Los Angeles. The EAD appointment has already been scheduled for me by them. I didn't see anything like calling them. It just said "PLEASE COME INTO THIS OFFICE, ROOM 6532 10AM August 15, 2005 to be processed for your EAD card". Does it mean that I will get the EAD card right away? I read a lot about Finger Print and this is a bit different, I guess, since it is processed by the Los Angeles District Office rather than the Service Center, correct me if I am wrong.

I received another letter from USDHS telling me to go for fingerprints (It says this is for background check for I-485 application from FBI) on August 8 in a different venue, no longer in Los Angeles but somewhere nearby where I live. Again, it has been scheduled by them.

Now I am confused. Can I assume that going for fingerprints is for I-485 and going to EAD appointment (I mentioned earlier) is for EAD card or interim EAD?

Interview for EAD

Hey Happytnj how did it go. Did you have to go to the interview? The reason I ask this is because my husband is in the waiting process for an EAD. On Aug. 17, he recieved a notice where it states that the office will notify him when they will schedule an interview. If possible could you please give us some info about what to expect of the "interview". We would really appreciate it, thanks.
