EAD approved but never received approval notice

Hi Guys:

Please help me. I got approved of my EAD in May and haven't received the approval notice yet. I have called INS numerous time but of no use. I have a question. Can I apply again for new EAD, I mean I-765 fresh. If yes, please let me know when I can?

Any reply is appreciable.

How do you know your EAD was approved

Did you get some message on the online status.

I have received a message yesterday that my EAD was approved, but the message is as follows

Receipt Number: LIN03194xxxxx

Application Type: I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status:

On August 26, 2003, after approving your application, we ordered a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

??????????????
What does this mean... Does it mean I should be expecting a card soon. Please help.....

When My EAD approved I had the same online message and after 5-6 days it changed to "Application has been approved and approval notice is mailed" and within 3-4 days I got my EAD card in mail. So I would say within 2-3 week you should have your card in mail .

No, I didn't received the card too. It has been more than 3 and half months now and I think its better if I file again. Can I file, plz help?

Does your online message say that your card was mailed?
If it does say that, then call BCIS and tell them that you didn't get your card, and that they should re-send it to you.

Maybe you can print the approval notice and go to the local BCIS office. However, I would first call NCSC and tell them about the problem.

DId you change your address? Maybe it went to your old address.

Thanks for the reply. Automatic reply doesn't say that my card has been posted. Instead when I called up INS, they told me that they posted the EAD card. But neither I got it, or INS got it returned. I don't know where it lost.

Yeah I changed the address. I notified INS before my EAD approval. They changed in I-485 and forgot in I-765. Don't know what to do. I wrote an application stating to resend the approval notice. But it has been 2 months now, no reply or letter.

I think I need to apply again. Any suggestions folks.

Is there any way to print the approval notice as U said. If yes, please let me know. I don't think we can do that, but its just a guess.

Plz help if U know.

by approval notice, I meant the online status that bcis' website says.

WaitingQ has provided the link, you can print that out.

I have read in few posts that even after updating their address, BCIS still sends out documents to the old address. Updating addresses just complicates things. Now i wish i had a POBox and given that as my address!!!

Could you please send me the correct link to print the approval notice. Is this print out helpful to get duplicate card or approval notice. Please suggest.

Its the same message i hear on phone. Any use of this message if I take a print out. Can I show this to INS people for getting the duplicate copy. Plz let me know.
 
1 Take the print out and you may try with local BCIS to get EAD and explain the situation.
I suspect that BCIS sent the EAD to past address and went back to your service center.
2 Also Speak to NCSC on I-800# and ask what shold be done

3 also write letter to BCIS your service center with this print out and explain that you have not received EAD Card and BCIS online says it is approved also attach copy of EAD filing receipt
Send the letter by certified mail. Write outside of Envelope in big bold letters” Attention: EAD card lost in the mail”
 
Thanks ginnu for your suggestions. But I have one more problem. I have filed my EAD at CSC and right now working in Kentucky. SO, my question is, can I do whatever U have suggested at Kentucky local INS. May be it will be a problem, otherwise the only way is to file for fresh EAD again at a good address. What do U say?
 
This is not a problem. I have neighbor who applied his I-485 at NSC. We are located in TSC area. His fingerprints were done locally. Moreover he got his IEAD locally. Service center does not matter.
 
Try Kentucky local INS. Also apply fresh EAD and follow up as I wrote in my other message all at the same time

I am trying to go to local INS and get my EAD. Since I filed my I-485 and EAD at CSC, I fear that by visiting the kentucky local service center, they may transfer my case over here. Is it possible? I don't want my case to be transfered from CSC over anywhere.

Shall I refile my EAD again and wait for 5 months or try visiting local INS to get my pending EAD. Plz help
