My wife EAD was approved on July 30th 2004 . Even After waiting for 30 days
when we did not receive the EAD, my lawyer approced the USCIS who said that the EAD was returned to USICS since it was sent to wrong address . They said that they will correct the address and promised to resent the EAD . Even after waiting for almost 2 months we have not recived the EAD . What should we do in this situatuion
1. Should we make appointment with the local USICS and try to get an interim EAD
2. Should we agian contact USICS
My wife H4 will expire in December and i am afraid that if we do not receive the EAD by then she will be out of status . I would appreciate if somebody who has expereinced the same issue could tell what they did

You should call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283 to verify your address. If I remember correctly, EAD should be sent directly to your address, not your lawyer's.

I'm not sure why you are concerned about your wife's H-4 status. If she is maintaining her H-4, then she should renew her H-4 immediately. If she used her EAD to work, then she is not H-4 anymore. If her old EAD is expired, she should stop working.

How many times can you contact the National Support Center . My Lawyer has already contacted them twice Now since this was applied through my lawyer should they contct or can i also contact the National support center . I cannnot renew the H$ since we have exhauseted that option ( Her six years are ending in december)

I called the customer service by myself to change my address. I don't think there is a limit.

If you are at the AOS stage, you can get 7th year extension, or until your I-485 is adjudicated. I don't know about your exact situation, but if you are maintaining your H-1 status, then she can get her H-4.

Your wife's legal status is going to be fine as her AOS is pending.
She would need EAD only to work.

Since you sound more worried about H4 status, I presume she is not presently working.
Again not getting her EAD doesn't impact her status in any way.

But yeah, you should contact them about getting the EAD -- but there is no real deadline w.r.t her status.
