EAD Approved/Address Change on same day - Help

Hi,

We changed address, I did my AR11 and then called INS to update my address yesterday. I checked my EAD status and its approved yesterday. We called INS today again and asked where our EAD card would be sent, she said it would be sent to old address and will not be fwded.

What do we do? Do we need to apply again or call them to send the card again to the new address ? Did any one have the same problem ?

No worries, it would have been worse if your EAD had been mailed. It takes a little while before the approved card is mailed out. If your change of address goes through, before that happens then you are okay. Else, you will have to apply for a new EAD.

Well, the lady at the Customer Service center for CIS said that it most probably will go to the older address and that I have to call back after 30 days if I donot get the card. Then CIS will request CSC to mail the card out again to the new address.

Also, I remember reading earlier posts, that they called CIS again to verify that the address change has taken affect. How do you do that? When I called today, they said they can not verify and that once new address is given, they do not have any access to the information to verify that the address is indeed changed.
Anybody, called again to confirm the change of address?
