EAD approval from June 2001 Application.

Got Interim EAD

I also got interim EAD this morning(valid for 240 days). Took I-485 receipt, EAD receipt, application and money order for 100$.
Unlike ap subbiah\'s case, they took the form and money order and isssued the card in less than 15 minutes.

why only valid for 6 month?

Would you please tell me why EAD only vailid for 6 month, I thought it should be valid for 1 year.
did you go to newark, NJ, or some where else?

Becase I may need to go there too.
my I-485 RD 4/31, ND 7/13/01,
apply EAD separately on 7/24/01, no receipt for EAD app yet.

Interim EAD

Bjohns, can you please give your I485 dates (RD,ND etc)
Is there any waiting period for interim EAD from ND or RD?
Can some one explain about Interim EAD?
 
My information

EB3, India
RD 6/4
ND 7/23
Local INS- Milwaukee, WI

According to immigration sites, you are eligible for interim EAD after 90 days of application (if the case is not approved by then)

But seems like some INS offices count 90 days from ND, saying that ND is the date on which they started working on your petition, where as some count it from RD.

In my case they counted the days from RD.
Anyway, in your case, if 90 days are over from RD, give it a try. It might work.

It is interesting:
I got my interim EAD from Milwaukee on 9/5/2001. Now according to nebraska AVM our actual EAD is approved on 9/6/2001.

Any EAD renewals?

Hello,

   We (my wife and I) applied for EAD Renewal in the last week of July, 2001. My I-765 renewal details are
   as follows RD 07/23/2001; ND 08/09/2001. My EAD card expires on October 24, 2001. According to AVM, it will take
   85 to 90 days for this case to be processed.

   Is it ok to work with I-765 Renewal Notice, if my GC is not processed and my EAD card expires on October 24, 2001. My H1-B is expired.

   My green card details are as follows RD 08/16/2000; ND 09/14/2000, LIN # 00-258, INDIA (EB-2),
   PD 06/12/1999.

   According to the Newark (Local office), all EAD renewal applicants should send their applicaitons by mail. Did anybody got
   EAD renewal from Newark Office? If so, please let me know the details of getting an appointment.

   Any help is appreciated. Thanks a lot
