Received the card in mail on 3/2/07. Got card production e-mail on 2/26/07.

Hope this gives an idea about how long it takes to get the card after approval.

RFE for I765 or I 485?
I had an RFE but it didn't seem like it delayed my I765, I have the same ND: Dec 20 as CASADWH and we got approval around the same time.

Hi All,

I contacted USCIS and they confirmed that my AP has been approved and mailed on Feb 28 2007. But I haven't received my AP yet. Can someone please help me with my questions?

1. How long does it typically take to receive the AP in mail after approval
and mailing by USCIS?

2. Does USCIS mail the AP to the beneficiary or to the employer's
attorney?

3. In order to use the AP for re-entry, is it true that the AP approval date
has be before the date of departure from US? Do they verify this on
re-entry?

4. If the AP is received in mail after I leave the US and I have it forwarded
to India, can I use it to re-enter the US? I guess at the Port of Entry,
they would only check the date of approval and not the date on which I
received it in mail. Please correct me if I wrong.

Does anyone has a clue that he/she can share with me? I would be nice to hear from someone.

Thank You

Hi All,

1. How long does it typically take to receive the AP in mail after approval
and mailing by USCIS?

---> Normally takes 7 to 10 business days.

2. Does USCIS mail the AP to the beneficiary or to the employer's
attorney?

-----> If self filed then you should receive to your home address or if AP was applied through attorney, then they would receive it.

3. In order to use the AP for re-entry, is it true that the AP approval date
has be before the date of departure from US? Do they verify this on
re-entry?

-----> I think so. I would advice to travel after approval of AP.

4. If the AP is received in mail after I leave the US and I have it forwarded
to India, can I use it to re-enter the US? I guess at the Port of Entry,
they would only check the date of approval and not the date on which I
received it in mail. Please correct me if I wrong.

----> I would say it is safe to travel after approval of AP.

Does anyone has a clue that he/she can share with me? I would be nice to hear from someone.

Received AP today!!

Hi All,

I received my AP today.

Anticipating delay in receiving my AP, I had taken a visa appointment at Madras/ Chennai Consulate on March 23 (next Monday) to renew the travel visa (H1) in my passport. As you know the visa processing fee is to paid at HDFC Bank before making an appointment. I went through the hassle of preparing all necessary paperwork.

1. Is there any benefit in having the travel visa renewed now that I
have the Advance Parole document?

2. Is it possible to get a refund of the processing fee if one does not want
to get a travel visa?

3. Is the refund given by HDFC at Chennai Consulate? Do I have to show
proof of Advance Parole to get a refund?

Another point is that my 7th year extension is expiring in August 2007 and it leaves me with only a few months of visa validity.

Has anyone been through a similar situation?

Thanks

NJDude

What is your PD ??

Can you add your Labor PD and Category (EB3/EB2) in the signature ? It will help us determine the pattern/trend - Thanks
