In your case you have already passed the 90 days pending limit on EAD. so you can schedule an Infopass appointment with your local office and go there in person to get an intermim EAD ...

I was told by my lawyer that the interim EAD procedure was discontinued last year. Is it not the case ?

No..it's not. Read USCIS own instructions that comes with I-765 application form.. http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-765instr.pdf ..Read under 'Interim EAD' ... these are current ...

There is no harm in trying to go to Infopass at your local office. just take your I-765 receipt notice and other supporting docs..

I looked at the attached document and it stipulates that the interim EAD only works in the case of application based on asylum (which isn't my case).
But thank you anyway. My understanding is that some local offices still issue temp EADs on a case by case basis which is a lottery worth taking.

In the meantime my EAD got approved online finally after 137 days !!

Hats off TSC

My receipt date was Oct. 2nd 2007. And my approval email was on was on Oct. 22nd. So it took then 3 weeks to approve. I applied at TSC.

I have applied in September last week till now no approval, it's almost 5 weeks. Some cases take 3 weeks some take......hats off TSC!

hi 2 everyone

just want to ask about the EAD processing time:

1). 90 days processing time, that's not counting weekends and holidays?
( I recieved my EAD reciept on 10/5/07 and had my ASC2 Biomtrics on 11/06/07)

2). can i get a state ID with only the EAD and my passport?
