EAD approval after RFE

My problem is that the case status does not change to indicate "Response to RFE received" although more than 2 weeks passed since sending the response to INS. I heard from someone that local office will not issue interim EAD until the status indicates that the response is received. Either way I have no choice but to try to get interim EAD.

I don't think u need to worry about the case status. Many times the AVM is not updated even though they have actually received the response. You can call up IIO and ask them if they have received the response for RFE.
 
My online status shows the reponse has been received on June 24th. My EAD expires next week (7/15)This morning I went to Santa Ana offc for iEAD. @ 8:30. After seeing the long line, I did nt stand in the line and thinking about going there tomorrow around 5am. Please post if any one went to santa ana for iEAD.
