Hello,
I wish to apply for EAD.
1. I have a copy of the finger print notice with me.
Can I use it as a proof of filing of I-485?
2. It has the lawyers address in it as the postal address. If I apply will the EAD go the the lawyer or to the address that I specify in the EAD application form?
3. I live in California, my 485 was filed in Vermont. Where shd I send the EAD application form?

My thanks in advance to those who answer me and help me out.

Though I know legally I can ask for the proof of 485 from the lawyer, I want my employer not to know this.

Sincerely.

1. 485 receipt is required to file EAD. However you can try with FP notice. But if you get a RFE before 90 days then you have to send the 485 receipt copy. Otherwise, if you dont get any response for 90 days, you can walk in to the local INS or district office and get interim EAD and your regular EAD should be coming in a few weeks.

2.EAD application form. But chances for RFE has increased by another 25%

3. where your 485 is pending, since they need to cross reference the 485 pending application before issuing EAD.
