did they cash the check?? If yes, after how many days from receipt?
I had also applied for EAD/AP renewal and its been almost a week since they received it, but still the check is not cashed.

They did cash the check eventually. I am really sorry I do not remember the excat dates. But I received the receipt from them even before they cashed the check.
FYI: My check does not even show me the EAC number. I wonder how would I know the EAC number if I had not received the receipt.
How to get EAD( WITH H4 VISA)
I wanted to apply for EAD but I dont know if I am eligible,I have H4 visa,I have seen some people with an H4 got an EAD ,how could I apply for it and does all H4 visa holders eligible for this..please help..what should I do and say the immigration officer..it has been so hard for me to stay at home and doing nothing.

Cant get EAD on a H4 visas. Sorry about that. Please tell us about the people on H4 who got EAD.
You dont have to stay home and do nothing.

I have seen a message from SD70 let me cut and paste it,according to his message his wife got an EAD while she has H4,I don't know am I wrong what do you think about this reply,and I have one more question to you do you have any suggestion for me how can I work ?Thank you so much ..

I have spouse who was in H4 but when she got EAD, she used it and got SSN. My question is that what is her legal status now H4 / EAD? Because when I changed job and transferred my H1B to my current company (B) I didn’t extended or transferred her H4. May I have to extend or transferred her H4 also????
What I have to do now? What is her legal status now H4/EAD?

The case of sd70 had a 485 pending meaning their green card is in process. Thats how the spouse got the EAD. I am not sure about your case. If your spouse who is on H1 has applied for green card, You can get a EAD at some time. But if your spouse is on h1 only and have not applied for green card, then I do not think you can get EAD.

On H4, legally you cannot work. But that does not mean you can do nothing. I also think H4 allows to do volutary work, but I am not sure about it.
I understand how doing nothing feels. So dont "do nothing"

On H4, legally you cannot work. But that does not mean you can do nothing. I also think H4 allows to do volutary work, but I am not sure about it.

Has your spouse applied for 485, 765(EAD) for himself/herself? Do you know what is the priority date on your case.
I would recommend to go on this site and get a basic understanding of the whole immigration process. It will help you get answers to your basic questions yourself.

Just FYI, my checks were cashed on 04/29. I had mailed my application(certified mail + return receipt) on 4/15 and they recvd. it on 4/18 (from online tracking).
I still have not recvd. the return receipt. Got the receipt # from back of the checks (my bank provides check images online) and the USCIS status has receipt date of 04/26.
