EAD application vanished?

My online status says "Receipt Number cannot be found".
I remember checking last week and it was fine. 1-800
number also says "cannot be found on our automated
system".

WTF??

It is probably a bug in the computer system. I hope you have the receipts? If so it is better to send an inquiry by post to the general correspondence with a copy of the receipt. Call the 800 number and talk to IIO first.
 
Called IIO...

She said she would put in a request in the system to enquire
about the status. Enquiry will generate a postal correspondence
in 4-5 weeks.

Original EAD expires in 3-4 weeks :(
 
Spoke to another IIO...

This one said that she cannot do anything until 90 days
have passed (i.e., Aug 12).

I sent a fax to CSC. Let's see.

Meanwhile, I discovered that the EAD receipt is misplaced (lost!)
during my recent move !!

All I have is the check image showing the receipt number.

Any suggestions on what to do?
- go to local office and enquire ?
- apply again ?
- hire a lawyer ?
- call IIO again ?

I think I figured out what happened (maybe)

The reply to my fax inquiry confirmed the existence of the
application. The response also indicated the receipt of the change of address request on 6/26.

EAD receipt # = 03-168-5ABCD (May 12)

Out of curiousity I checked

WAC # = 03-200-5ABCD (Jun 26)

Lo and Behold! This application is an I-765 application as well.

So, some idiot in BCIS took my change-of-address form and
screwed up the receipt # of my I-765?

Coincidence?? Perhaps..

I filed for AP and EAD for myself and spouse at the same time.
All WAC-03-168 numbers have corresponding WAC-03-200
numbers. Except, one I-131 receipt has been converted to
I-765. The AOS receipt numbers correspond to a I-765
receipt number and OS155A approval (whatever that is).

I'm still going to try for iEAD on 11/8 though...
