Ead application question

I was just accorded derivative ASYLEE status. I started off on F1 and I had an EAD issued for my OPT. I then got an H1B and now I'm an asylee. I'm trying to get an EAD. On the application how do I respond to the question:
Have you ever applied for employment authorization from the USCIS?
Since I have not applied in my current asylee status would that be yes or no?

If I respond Yes, do I attach both my previous EAD and H1B visa copies? Is my EAD application fee waived since I'm a first time applicant for EAD through asylum? Or do I have to pay since I previously obtained an EAD during my OPT?

Yes to both questions.

Good point but an EAD on hand is always a better option. Besides, its not like s/he has to pay anything for it anyways.

Use your unrestricted SS card + driver license. On the I-9 form, select "other" and write "asylee".
If they refuse it, then your employer is in violation.
