EAD application question

Dear All:

I have a pending asylum application. I filled for my EAD a few weeks ago and it was rejected because I had calculated the 150 days wrong, according to the rejection notice I was told to file Nov 1st.

When I file again tomorrow, do I have to pay them the $340 fees OR is it still considered first EAD that requires no fees. By the way, I have never had an EAD before.

I was in the same situation two years ago. My EAD application was rejected twice because of the clock time. I didn't pay any fee when I sent the final application to have my first or initial EAD.

No, I did not pay the first time either. The first time (last month) it was rejected because of the clock. I am filling it again (tomorrow) and am wondering if I have to pay the fees since I already filled once and it was rejected.

No, you should not have to pay the fee.
