Dear Group,

I had I-140 approved under EB1 EA from TSC. Recently, I filed in my and my spouse I-485, along with petitions for AP and EAD at NSC on the 15th Sep 2006. Haven’t received receipts from them....

How long will it takes to get approvals for EAD and AP from NSC? I have read in the forms about interim EAD's is it still an option if we do not receive EAD on time?

If my wife uses her EAD and AP, does she need to apply for anything for changing her status from H4 to EAD like AC21....? Or she can simply take up the job?

We would highly appreciate your valuable comments and suggestions.

I think as soon as one gets EAD.....we can start using it.....same with AP..

anyone else can confirm this??
 
As far as I have read on the forums you just use your EAD to take up a new job and you automatically lose your non-immigrant status....like f1, f2, H1, h4....etc. Although this a good question for the forum that is there any legal steps to be taken or does the INS automatically update and change your status...i.e how do they know you have started a new job on your EAD???

Hi, your I-140 got approved in just two weeks, lucky!!

Mine is pending with Texas (EB1-EA) since two months. Can you post your credentials please. out of 10 how many did you highlight.

EAD and AP tipically takes 30-60 days from NSC.
if they email/mail you notice which says 90 days an dif you don't get after 90 days then you can approach local INS office for temp EAD.
yes you wife will come to pending AOS status as soon as she used EAD.
nope she can right away use EAD for job.
 
After September 30, we dont have anything as temporary EAD cards! Be careful guys...you need to wait to get it even if it takes 1yr!
