EAD/AP self-renewal

Hi,

I got laidoff after 180 days. My previous company has been very helpful as far as portability goes. They wont be revoking my I140 and will be sending me all the documents they have filled on my behalf.

My EAD and AP expires in October. Can I renew these on my own without any help form an attorney? When should I apply for renewal?

Yes you can do it your self, download the Form I-131 and I-765 from BCIS site read the instuctions and fill up the form attach required documents and pay the FEE, BCIS site says better apply for EAD 6 months advance, You can immidiatly file for EAD, AP extension.
