EAD, AP renewal

Hi,

I have filed for my I-140, I-485, EAD and AP in Jan '03. I received my EAD and AP in March '03. So far all the expenses were paid by my company and the attorney was handling the case.

Now, I am preparing to file for my EAD and AP renewal. Since the company won't bear the expenses, I am planning to file it myself. I would like to know whether it is advisable to file for renewal myself, while everything uptil now has been handled by my attorney.

Could someone who has done the same, please share your experience with me. What documents are required? Is there anything that I would have to get from my attorney? (The I-485 original receipt is still with my attorney).

Your response is appreciated.

Thanks,

If my green card process has been handled by my attorney uptil now, is it advisable to file for EAD/AP renewal myself? My company won't pay the attorney fees anymore. Should I file the renewal myself or still go thru the attorney?

Thanks in advance,

---- No need to pay the lawyer you can do it your self, for EAD fill up the form I-765, attach the Top portion you received with first time EAD, pay BCIS fees $120 attach the copy of current EAD (both the sides) and attach I-485 filing receipt 2 photographs
For AP fill up form I-131 Pay the BCIS fees $110,2 Photographs and I-485 receipt

----- You can do it and it is easy process

------- Many have done, 80% file directly for EAD AP second time or for renewal with out lawyer

---- Get the I-485 filing Receipt from Lawyer ( I-485 belongs to you and you are supposed to keep I-485 receipt with you) If possible also ask the copy of I-140 filing receipt( tell him you need just to track the status on BCIS online if he is not wiling to give you then your employer may be having I-140 receipt ask the copy and keep it for your records or employer should request lawyer to give you I-140 reciept)

lawyer not needed to file for EAD AP you can send directly and Employer is also not involved as EAD AP belongs to you not to Employer
