EAD/AP renewal filed in different service center?

Guys,
My I-485 pending at NSC since June 2004 and my I-140 approved in July 2005. I am working in NY. I recently filed EAD/AP renewal through attorney via mail. I got receipt numbers and found out that my EAD/AP renewal applications were filed in VSC. I checked with attorney and he says EAD/AP renewal applications will be filed based on my job location.
Is this true or something wrong? Should i worry about this filing?

Anyone who knows to read and type english should be e-filing EAD/AP, it is so easy. Normally AP/EAD should be filed at the CS where your 485 is pending.

I am living in NY but I-485 is pending at NSC. My attorney says that EAD/AP will be filed at service center based on where you live, even though I-485 pending at NSC. I am not sure on this? Pls share if any experiences.
 
I am in the same boat

My I-485 is pending in Texas. But my attorney filed in Nebraska because of job location. But the case was transferred back to Texas after a month. I am waiting for the approval.

Hi Gurus (UN & others),
My case transferred from VSC to Lincoln local office. My EAD/AP renewals were filed (by stupid attorney) in VSC but I-485 is pending in NSC.

I see the following message:-

On March 8, 2006, we transferred your I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION to an office in LINCOLN, NE for processing. Our office in LINCOLN, NE will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office. Please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283 to receive information about local office processing times.



What should i do now? But i live in NJ. Do i have to go to Lincoln local office?

Pls respond gurus. I appreciate your response.

Still Waiting

I am still waiting and there is no online status change after Feb 7th.

I-765 Receipt Date at NSC: Jan 13th, 2006.
Transfered to TSC: Feb 7th, 2006.

It makes me nervous as the days pass by. Please post your approval after you receive the online approval.

Well, with this case transfer i am not sure how long NSC will take to process my case. I filed at Jan 31st' 06. The thing is all the documentation for EAD/AP renewal was sent to VSC........not sure VSC would forward the documentation as well to NSC.

Will keep you posted.
