EAD/AP renewal applications sent to wrong center by mistake?

Hi,
I have a question regarding my EAD/AP renewals that were messed up by my lawyer's office recently. My I-485 application is pending at Nebraska Center. My attorney's office sent both mine and my wife's EAD/AP renewal applications to CSC instead of NSC 2 weeks ago. The CSC accepted the applications and issued the receipt numbers too starting with 'WAC'. Does this mean CSC will issue my EAD/AP?

My current EAD/AP is valid till the end of Jan 2006. I am staying legally in the USA. I DO NOT HAVE H1B VISA currently.

Does anyone know what happens in this situation? Please respond...I am tensed because of this issue..

Call USCIS and see what they say... What does your attorney say?

If your job is primary, you should efile to the correct center just to avoid any delay or in the situation where you are with out valid EAD.
If the other Center doesnt find your 485 application they will return the fees and the application.

Attorneys make all sort of mistake ... It is foolish to get ones EAD extended with the help of attorney when U can do 100% accurate online.Plus U get imd confirmation plus it is bit faster.

Do it online now and ask Ur attorney to withdraw the application that he submitted.

I cannot be sure but it is very likely that the center you incorrectly sent to may forward your application to the correct center. Give CIS a little credit of intelligence.

Do NOT worry about your legal status -- its always OK since your 485 is pending.

The only problem with not having a valid EAD, is your inability to work.

I agree with others -- file a new application with NSC right now -- am not so sure about e-filing as it used to take longer than paper filing .... but maybe things have changed now.

CSC will eventually deny your app or more likely transfer to NSC - it will get really delayed -- don't depend on that application now.

I agree with max2k1. You know, i usually do it myself. i usually mail the copy to my company. they will always send it to perfect address. They never ever commit these mistakes. Actually, you should not be worried too much, things may happen this way. I think you wont have any problem regarding EAD and AP's.

For the sake, file another application in Nebraska. Send it ASAP, since you dont have enough time to do.

Don't worry, it will be transferred to an appropriate service centre.

My lawyer filed all our EAD/AP documents for renewal with Vermont Service Centre, and after 15 days all were transferred to California Service Centre, and I received the notification from VSC. Officers at the Service Centres are better and more helpful than our lawyer.

Thanks guys...What is the url to file online EAD/AP renewals? I will try to talk to the BCIS on phone.
