I have the following questions to this excellent forum members.

1. What is the immigration status after receipt of EAD. H1 or EAD?. Is the H visa still valid.
2. Should one apply for AP having a valid H1 stamp and I485 pending.
3. Will travelling on H status jeopardize GC process or should apply for AP.

Your input is greatly appreciated. I am sure there are lots of folks with answers. Thanks in advance.

Good Luck to you all

Thanks

1. Yes, if you do not switch on EAD.
2. Personal choice.
3. No travelling on H status will not geopardize GC process.

have a backup..

Hello friend,

Its better to have a backup of AP if u still have a valid H Visa and
Pending I 485. If u r out of USA and u r I 485 got Approved..then
u need to have AP to reenter the country.

Here is my lawyers email..check it out.

"It is your choice whether or not to renew your EAD and AP. If you have a valid H1B and H1B visa, you may work and travel on those. If anything should happen with your H, then it is always good to have the EAD/AP as a backup, but it is not required as long as you maintain your H1B. One thing to be aware of is that should your I-485 be approved while you are overseas, you will most likely not be able to return on the H1B, but will need an Advance Parole travel document."

Good Luck
