EAD and SSN ?

Do H-4 spouse requires to apply for Social Security number once they get EAD and wants to do a job?

Do spouse need to job in computer related or any other job using EAD?

SSN is required only if they are going to take up a job. It is not mandatory if they are not going to work. But in this country it is better to have SSN .. Without which one can not build credit history.

Spouse can do any kind of job from a manager to working in Burger king. They can change the jobs at any point of time. But this facility is valid only till your current GC process is valid and it is in progress.
