Ead and Part time job

Hi Gurus and Expers,

Please tell me whether i can do part time job or not.

I got my EAD 5 months back.
My I_140 is still pending.
I am still in job.
I will be with same employer and company who filed my GC and i want to do some part time job like in other company, in house development or some stores like Best Buy.

Please suggest me is good thing, does it effect my GC, i will in trouble in future.

Any help is appreciated in this. I really need a guide in solving this problem.

Once you take up the part time job using your EAD then you will loose your H1-B status and will be in AOS. Then if your I-140 gets denied your will be out of status immediately. It is better if you don't take up the part time job till you get your 140 approved.
