EAD and Interview

Sorry to post this here

My mother in-law has pending I485 case.

Along with I485 we filed I765 (employment authorization) and now BCIS sent interview appointment date for EAD approval.

Question:

Is this normal?
Has anyone applied for I765 and got interview?
Is there any age limit to apply I765?

This case is not EB case my sister in-law is a US citizen and sponsored her mother.

This is NOT an interview as such. It is just taking some info. from your mother inlaw; that's it. It is like going to a local office to get your interim work authorization if it took more than 3 months.
