EAD and I485 with No Job

EAD can be applied or renewed even without a job in hand. Infact only if u have permit like EAD then you can work!Joyfull said:Hi friends,

my understanding is the I-485 petitioner must maintain the intention to employ you in order for I-485 petition to remain valid, which allows you to apply for EAD. if the company who laid you off is also the I-485 peitioner, then your I-485 become invalid, and you have no reason to request an EAD. i am interested in other forum users' view.
don't understand though why are you waiting to apply for EAD till you get laid off

keep applying for EAD
1, Your I140 is denied/revoked by USCIS. or withdrawn by employer before 180 days.
2, Your I485 is denied.
in your case you are over 180 days past I485 .. I guess you are safe
