EAD and I-94 expirey -Question

If we have already got the EAD card, and the previous I-94 is expiring soon, is it possible to extend the I-94 using the EAD card ?
What are the procedures for extending the I-94 ?

Can any one shed some light ?

You need to apply for H1 extension or enter again into US using valid visa.

I assume you have already applied for I-485 & if that's the case, your stay is legal even if I-94 is expired.

So what about my wife's I-94 ? She was on H4 when she got the I-94 and now she is on EAD, she is now using EAD for a job. Does she need to apply for an extension of I-94 ?
Yes we both have applied for I-485 and AP and it is under process.

You need to apply for Advance Parole if you want to travel and work on EAD. You are not in H1/H4 status now if you are using EAD

So if we get the A.P. which we have already applied, does it mean that we don't need I-94 anymore ?

I did some search about extending the I-94... but looks like I-94 renewal only comes as a result of renewing the H1. and I could not find any where about how to maintain the I-94 in case of H4 converted to EAD.

You can stay in this country even if your I-94 expires as long as you have a pending I-485. In such a case your status would be 'Pending AOS'.

When you travel outside US you need a Advance Parole to re-enter the country. At that time a new I-94 might be issued.

I think if you keep extending your H1 and H4 (from I-539) your can maintain a valid I-94 for you and your wife in addition to EAD. But the minute your wife starts working using EAD then you have to also apply for Advance Parole.
This is my understanding. Pls check with a good attorney also.
