EAD and H4 extension

Friends please help me on following ...

My wife was on H4 and she started using her EAD in Jan 2004. So she is in AOS status now. Her H4 extension was filed in Nov 2003 and now that H4 extension has been approved.

My question.

If we send her passport for revalidation and new H4 visa will be stamped in her passport which will be valid till 2006.
Can she use that H4 visa to reenter US on to get her H4 status back?

If she can't use her H4 for reentry then what she needs to do to get her H4 status back(If we want to stop using EAD)

I don't think that is correct because I am still on H1 and I heard H4 person can still go back from EAD to H4 without any issue as long as primary maintains H1. Also it doesn't look correct because what if my I-140 denied , what will be her status. There must be a way to get back from EAD to H4.
