Currently, I'm working on H1B (I140 approved and I485 Pending). I do have EAD card and AP that I do not use at all.

My questions is: If I use EAD card for issuance or renewal of driver's license, would it affect my current H1B status (again I use H1B visa for my employment)?

Please let me know. I appreciate your help. Thanks.
 
No, using the EAD for your license won't affect your H1B status. It only affects your H1B if you use the EAD for employment.

However, if your H1B expires later than the EAD, it would be better to use the H1B for the license. But if the EAD expires later than the H1B, use the EAD for the license and don't let the DMV see the I-94 of your H1B (temporarily remove the I-94 from your passport). That's because whenever you have multiple immigration documents establishing your status and eligibility for a license, they generally make the license expire at the earliest time indicated by your immigration documents.
