EAD and H1B

I am not sure if this question has ever been posted but let me ask for my piece of mind - I am currently on an H1 B visa, with validity till end of the year. Meanwhile, I received my EAD card (Family based GC), now, do I need to switch my employment based on the EAD or can I wait till my H1B is nearing expiration and then switch over. Is their any conflict, if I decide to wait out my H1B status?

As far as I know, there is no conflict if you switch over when H1b is closer to expire.
