EAD and GC

From employment point of view, Are there any difference between EAD and GC except EAD only valid for one year? Could Employer refuse to hire an employee because he/she only has EAD not GC?

Thanks,

Thanks,

WITH GC you are FREE.
WITH EAD you are still at the mercy of BCIS. (maybe not if you have all legal docs in place). Also nowadays most companies don't want EAD candidates as there is no guarantee that they will get a GC.
(Citizens or GC holders only please. Rest please excuse)

I am considering to wait for EAD to join client as permanent employee. But I am afraid if client knows that I am still waiting for GC won't give me an offer.

Is EAD2003 right that company coudl refuse employment because a person only has EAD?

I am not saying that a company would refuse employement because of EAD. Every company has a different policy. In simple terms it is just that an EAD is better than an H1B and a GC is better than an EAD. If you have an EAD you can always join ur client by showing ur EAD. There is nothing wrong..just be sure you have AC21 guidelines in mind.

Again this is just my opinion. I am no lawyer. Do not consider this to be legal advise.
