EAD and GC

I'm currently on H1-B visa in US. I got my visa changed from F1 to H1-B in US itself. Hence, my passport still holds F1, but I have the H1-B visa document

My fiancee is a US Citizen. So I would like to proceed to get Green Card based on her petition.
If we get married in US and how long does it take to get a Green Card and the EAD ?

Also, can we travel outside US (to India) and come back to US without having to worry about my H1-B stamping ?

Also, if I get my EAD through her within couple of months, can I travel based on that outside US ? I dont have to worry about my H1-B from that point onwards ? Is that correct ?

Guidance is really appreciated !

I had asked Ron Gotcher what if my hubby who is on H1 loses his job before I get my CZ and apply for him GC. Here's a really good clarification he had which I think will be worth your while. A lots of us seemed to be confused just like I was till I read his clarification.

I think in your case make sure you have some status when you file the AoS. That would give you AP and the freedom to travel in and out of the US. But I am also learning about the process. So please post whatever you find out.
