EAD and AP renewal

My EAD and AP are expiring in OCT 2004.While going through the forum I found out that AP/EAD are taking about 6 months to get renewed.I had a couple of questions regarding the EAD/AP renewal and wanted to ask you gurus

1)How many months in advance can I file the renewals for AP/EAD?

2) I am thinking of travelling to Indian in July.Would it be ok I file renewals and then visit india?Is there any regulation regarding stay in USA at the time renewal?

3) Can it be done electronically?If yes then is it fully e-renewal or does it still require some offline processes like visitng local INS office?

4) Can I file for AP/EAD renewal for my wife while she is visting india(assuming I have all the paperwork ready ..signed etc when she starts from here)


Some of questions might seems silly to you but a desi is a desi...gotta cover all sides

1. 6 months or processing time whichever is higher. However you can apply one as soon as 3 months from the current EAD/AP's validity.
2. yes you can do that. Just make sure that when you come back you have a valid AP in hand.
3. online EAD requires visit to local office.
4. Yes.

------ You should file your wife AP while she is IN USA and AP must be approved for her before her departure from US. Go to USCIS site they have warned that if AP is not approved before departure in US they may deny the entry. Best option apply AP when you are in US get AP approved in hand before departure from US
 
Document list to attend local USCIS office after filling online EAD

IMMIDIATE HELP NEEDED...!!!!

Hi All,
I just completed online application for my EAD renewal. I also scheduled for appointment to local USCIS office for FP and Photo.
My schedule date is 02-April-04.

Does anyone know the complete list of documents to bring with applicant to attend the appointment with USCUS office for these FP and Photo?

Please reply soon and thanks in advance for your help.

There is a sticky post on top of this forum. Take a printout of that post and read it through. It explains the meaning of life, earth and the universe (in the context of EAD filing).
