My PD is Sept 01, 2006
Me and my wife are currently on H1B. We have applied 1-485, EAD and AP on July 3, 2007.

Both of EAD and AP are approved and expired on Oct 2008.

Can I renew the EAD and AP for my wife only and also can I apply it online ?

I would like to stay on H1B and my wife would like to convert to EAD.

Thanks in advance
Mac

Your wife has her own I-485 pending, so she is entitled to privileges such as EAD and AP independent of you. So yes, she can apply for a new EAD and AP.

Yes, she can do it online if she wishes. I always preferred paper filing.

if your wife has pending I-485 petition... she is eligible for EAD/AP, doesn't matter whether you apply by paper or online.

Thank you jk0274 and myitneeds for the response.

jk0274, what is the process for paper filing ?, Is there any specific reason paper filing is preferred to online filing.

Thanks

Paper Filing EAD ==> Fingerprints are not compulsory

I think...you don't need to go for Fingerprints for EAD...if you do paper filing.

I prefer it because I don't have to wait for a biometrics notice that most people who e-file receive. I'd much rather get all my paperwork together in one packet, mail it off, and just wait for my card to arrive. I don't want to file something, then wait for a biometrics notice, then go to the biometrics appointment, then wait some more; that's just an extra unnecessary step in my opinion.

I don't think e-filing is necessarily faster, and even if it is, maybe by a week or so, which is insignificant.
